The new rate basis will be launched in the following states effective September 14, 2009

LifeStage Advantage only: Hawaii
Please note:
· This is the initial launch of LifeStage Advantage in Hawaii
· The VIP2 Premier Policy becomes available for sale in a state once the new VIP2 rate basis is launched in that state
· State variations may apply

LifeStage Advantage in Minnesota and LifeStage Advantage Multi-Life in NY, effective August 31, 2009.
Effective August 31, 2009 — MetLife LTC LifeStage Advantage SM launches in Minnesota and LifeStage Advantage Multi-Life Launches in New York.
Minnesota
LifeStage Advantage will be available for the first time in Minnesota on August 31, 2009, and will be offered under the new rate basis. The new rate basis for VIP2 in Minnesota was implemented on April 3, 2009.
New York
LifeStage Advantage Multi-Life becomes available in New York on August 31, 2009. This will be under the new rate basis. Please note that the new rate basis for VIP2 and individual LifeStage Advantage was implemented in New York on July 13, 2009.
